AIA Indianapolis recently held its 2021 Golf Outing at Brookshire Golf Club in Carmel. Twenty-seven teams, several sponsors, and many volunteers enjoyed a great day to be on the golf course.

With temperatures nearing 90 degrees, the weather was as hot as the contests of the day, which included longest putt, longest drive, and closet to the pin. Awards for these challenges and for the first, second, and third place teams were delivered during the awards presentation, which took place following dinner.

The team of Steve Savoie, AIA, Performance Services; Joe Berding, BlocTec; Al Radomski, URS; and Drew Bilger, Indiana Brick/Edgewood Building Supplies took home first place honors.

Kim Shelley, AIA Indianapolis Membership Support Coordinator, said the event was a huge success and could not have been possible without the outing’s presenting/platinum level sponsor – McComas/O’Donnell & Naccarato, Structural Engineers.

“Twenty-seven teams represent the biggest outing we have had in quite a few years,” said Jason Shelley, Hon. AIA, Executive Director of AIA Indiana/AIA Indianapolis. “Everyone is happy to be out on the course and seeing old friends. This is truly the highlight of our summer programming."
