ICONIC Consulting Group's Britton Named Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers President

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Keith M. Britton, P.E., President and Founder of ICONIC Consulting Group, Inc., has been named the President of the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineers. Britton, who will be the first African American President, is proceeding Nicci Tiner, PE, PTOE, who was the first woman to be named President.

The Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineering is a group of civil engineering alumni who have together given over $100,000 in student body scholarships this past year. They also contribute to the recruitment of new tenure-track faculty. This aides the Department of Civil Engineering in ensuring only quality faculty are brought in and in turn, ensures only quality students are sent through commencement and out into the working field.

“In this era of rapid technological change, where civil engineering is continually evolving, I am keenly aware of our academy's pivotal role," Britton said. "As President, my commitment extends beyond upholding our traditions and legacy. I am dedicated to creating opportunities to engage our members more actively, thereby strengthening our organization. ... I am deeply appreciative of the leadership provided by the outgoing President, whose extraordinary efforts have set a formidable standard for me to follow.”

Britton was inducted into the academy in 2018. He has served the engineering industry for over 20 years and launched ICONIC Consulting Group in 2008. ICONIC is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm established in Dallas, Texas, and expanded into Little Rock, Arkansas, and Omaha, Nebraska. Under his leadership, ICONIC has partnered on critical advancement projects throughout Texas and Arkansas.

Britton began his studies at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas, later transferring to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville where he obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in civil engineering and his Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship and strategy from Southern Methodist University.
