Burns & McDonnell, a 100 percent employee-owned firm, continues to add to its regional staff of 380 employee-owners, nearly double the total from five years ago.

The following employees received promotions in the Southeast Region:
Don Chase is Program Director in the Construction Group. After leading the firm’s business in Canada, he has returned to run a program with Georgia Power. With more than 35 years of experience, Chase plays a key role in the Southeast Region as an adviser.
David Miller is Regional Manager for the Aviation & Federal Group. As a licensed civil engineer providing client-focused fueling facilities and infrastructure solutions for commercial airports, airlines, and federal entities, his experience includes growing and managing projects and personnel during his years of service in the aviation and federal market.

Alex Garland, who joined Burns & McDonnell in 2019, is Regional Manager for the Global Facilities Group. Garland is an engineer-procure-construct project manager with more than 12 years of experience in the food and beverage industry and will retain his leadership of the group's work with food and beverage clients, in addition to expanded responsibilities in aerospace and industrial manufacturing, and other markets.
Fred Gibson is the region's Department Manager for Project Controls, and continues to manage the firm's office in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He joined Burns & McDonnell in 2021, and his experience includes nearly 20 years of leadership, management, strategic planning, process optimization, and risk analysis.
