ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA) announces the recipients of the 2025 Best in Construction awards. These awards are selected in partnership with FDOT and presented annually to FTBA’s contractor members in recognition of their contributions to Florida’s transportation and infrastructure system.
The companies below received Best in Construction awards in the following categories:
- Alternative Contracting: Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc., for their work on State Road (SR) 7/U.S. 441 at Oakes Road Widening
- Bridge: Southern Road & Bridge, LLC, for their work on U.S. 1 Overseas Highway Bridge Repairs
- Community Awareness: de Moya Highway Infrastructure, LLC, for their work on the Emerson Street Expressway
- Design-Build: The Lane Construction Corporation for their work on Wekiva Parkway Section 8
- Interchange: Skanska USA Civil Southeast for their work on I-75 at Big Bend Road Interchange
