Most of her career has been with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 4 Design Office, where she is an expert in FDOT design criteria and standards, specifications, typical section variance and exception reviews, quality control in the daily plans production environment, and guidelines for the American Society of State Highway and Transportation Officials and National Society of City Transportation Officials.

Jeffers spent 12 years as an FDOT In-House Design Section Manager. Having been the Design Project Manager and Engineer of Record at FDOT for various projects, she has overseen construction budgets ranging from $300,000 to more than $100 million.
Jeffers earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Florida International University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida. She is certified in the following FDOT programs: Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), MOT Trainer, Leadership Academy, and Management Academy.
