SOUTHFIELD, MI — Barton Malow announces the promotion of Luke Knochel to Vice President of Project Controls.
In his new role, Knochel leads a multi‑disciplinary team responsible for core functions such as cost and schedule management, forecasting, project start‑up, accounts receivable and payable processes, and change management. His leadership spans multiple geographic regions, overseeing directors and managers across Barton Malow’s operations.
Knochel started at Barton Malow in 2013 as a Cost Analyst and has served in various project controls and finance leadership roles throughout his tenure. He oversaw accounts payable and accounts receivable, change management, forecasting, reporting, and more on the Little Caesars Arena project, then went on to supervise Barton Malow’s offices in Chicago, Illinois; Columbus, Ohio; and Nashville, Tennessee. After a promotion to Project Controls Manager overseeing the then-Midwest business unit, Knochel transitioned into a corporate finance role, managing the shared service department and implementing new accounts payable software.
Knochel works out of Barton Malow’s Southfield, Michigan, headquarters.
