LANSING, MI — At locations throughout Michigan, Michigan CAT recently opened their doors and equipment yards to their customers and all local contractors to say thank you and display their products and services.
“We are featuring the MacAllister Family Company, not just the equipment sales, but also the trench shoring, parts, service, financing — the many different facets of the company,” said Brad Sadler, Sales Representative for Michigan CAT. “People know that we can help them with equipment sales, but we can also help them from bottom up to top down when it comes to all of their construction needs.”
Michigan CAT also wants to show “big appreciation for our customers that have dealt with us for years, and invite new customers who have never been around us before to get them on our lots and show opportunities that they can benefit from by dealing with Michigan CAT,” Sadler added.
Among the booths and pieces of equipment available for learning about and trying out were the next-generation Caterpillar 255 and 265 Compact Track Loaders. “We are very proud of the new 255 and 265 track loaders that just came out this year showing more cabin space, more lifting, more torque, and more power,” Sadler said. “Many contractors haven’t had a chance to sit in them yet, and this is a great opportunity to do just that and see how these machines operate.”
The team at the SITECH Michigan booth taught interested contractors how to apply Trimble GPS guided technology to their machines to effectively solve some of the biggest challenges they face on the construction site. “We just want to show everybody that technology is not all that scary and just how easy it is to use,” said Cole Dowd, SITECH Michigan Sales and Service Representative.

A new 255 compact track loader and a 308 mini excavator were loaded up with 2D and 3D systems to give interested contractors a chance to become familiar with the new technology and “see just how easy it is to use and how it will make them way more efficient,” Dowd added.
All of the Michigan CAT open houses were well attended, and the contractors that came by were treated to a barbecue lunch with all the trimmings, giveaways, door prizes, and the chance to become more productive and cost efficient at their jobs.
