LANSING, MI — Scott Merillat, PE, Manager of the Lenawee County Road Commission (LCRC), has been elected by the County Road Association (CRA) of Michigan’s Board of Directors to serve as its 2025-2026 Vice President.
Merillat has served as LCRC Managing Director since 2011. He began his career in 1994 as LCRC County Highway Engineer, a role he held until 2000. He then became a Co-Owner of a local engineering and surveying firm, continuing to work on county road projects as a contractor. Merillat returned to LCRC in 2011 following the retirement of the previous manager. “I am grateful and excited for this opportunity to serve CRA’s members,” Merillat said. “The association continues to make a big impact in Michigan, and I look forward to getting even more involved.” The 83 members of the County Road Association of Michigan represent the unified voice for a safe and efficient county transportation infrastructure system in Michigan. Collectively, Michigan’s county road agencies manage 75 percent of all roads in the state, including 90,500 miles of roads and 5,900 bridges. County road agencies also maintain the state’s highway system in 63 counties.
