A total of 23 Architects and 11 Landscape Architects received their licensed in the calendar year of 2022. Friends and family were on hand to witness this occasion which represents the successful culmination of their educational pursuit. Desma Belsaas, AIA, the current AIA Indianapolis Section President and Assistant Vice President, JS HELD, Indianapolis gave the keynote presentation.
Debra Schmucker, PLA, ASLA, Indiana Board of Registration for Architects Landscape Architects, Vice Chair and Kris May, ASLA, ASLA Indiana President and Jason Shelley, Hon. AIA, Executive Director of AIA Indiana presented the Certificates of Licensure to those in attendance.
Following the presentation of the certificates, the newly licensed individuals recited the oaths of their respective professions. “This formal ceremony truly leaves a lasting impression on the architect and their loved ones, publicly marking this important achievement. We (AIA Indiana and ASLA Indiana) hope to continue to recognize newly licensed architects (and Landscape Architects) with this ceremony for years to come,” said Shelley.
