FORT WAYNE, IN –
Design Collaborative is excited to present the new, two-bed intensive care unit completed in Rushville, IN. Rush Memorial Hospital recognized a need for additional space through the thick of the pandemic. The 2,380 SF space makes it possible for the rural hospital to offer new procedures and attract new talent.
Specified interior colors, placement of low-profile LED light fixtures, and exterior windows open and brighten this intensive care unit. To carry the benefits of daylight into the unit, sliding full-glass doors with electrochromic glass (transparent to opaque) were chosen, which allow daylight to filter beyond patient rooms while still having the capability to provide privacy when needed. Warm wood tone surfaces mirror the interior of recently renovated med-surg rooms to provide a similar look and feel.
