Owens Joins HNTB in Atlanta as Senior Project Manager – Planning
Owens will manage multiple large-scale urban design and planning projects, including serving as the primary point of contact for HNTB on projects, coordinating work efforts for project teams and schedule and budget management.
“Catherine has the skills and relationships to be a key leader for urban planning and civil engineering projects that improve quality of life for the citizens of Atlanta,” said Carrie Rocha, PE, HNTB Atlanta Office Leader and Vice President. “Her practical experience on the Atlanta Beltline and other projects equip her to deliver solutions on a variety of complex projects for our clients.”
Prior to joining HNTB, Owens served as interim Director of Program Management and Principal Engineer for the Atlanta Beltline program, an initiative focused on providing affordable housing and improving infrastructure along a 22-mile rail corridor. In that role, she strategized with leaders to determine the most effective ways to implement projects based on funding and provided project management and engineering support to capital projects.

She is involved in multiple community and industry organizations, including serving as a steering committee member and leader of the Transportation Subcommittee for the Georgia Environmental Conference, a member of the Institute of Georgia Environmental Leadership Class of 2018, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity and others.
