HNTB’s Atlanta Office Names Kassa as Transportation Planning Department Manager
Kassa has been with HNTB since 2015 and has more than 16 years of technical and leadership experience in the infrastructure industry. His most recent roles with HNTB include serving as Project Manager for transportation studies and programs, as well as a task lead for various transportation initiatives, including Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority’s “More MARTA Atlanta” sales tax program; Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) Office of Planning multimodal studies; and Georgia Department of Transportation Major Mobility Investment Program.

Kassa is an active member of the American Planning Association and Georgia Planning Association. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
HNTB’s 50-year history in the Atlanta metropolitan area includes more than 30 major highway improvement projects for GDOT. The firm has served as program manager of both I-75 South Metro Express Lanes and Northwest Corridor Express Lanes projects.
In addition, HNTB provides general planning consultation for Georgia Regional Transportation Authority and State Road and Tollway Authority, and on-call transit planning and engineering for MARTA, and numerous other projects for transportation agencies in the region.
