In his role, Cruz will leverage his 25 years of experience to lead large, ground-up projects and develop teams of experts to increase Shawmut’s market share of projects with substantial scope and complexity. Expansion in the region, particularly Miami, Broward, and West Palm Beach, is a key driver in Shawmut’s 10-year strategic growth plan.

Prior to joining Shawmut, Cruz served as a Project Executive for several large construction management firms in South Florida, building complex projects ranging in size, scope, and value — including millions of square feet in education, high-rise condominiums, multi-family, and hospitality. Cruz is a Florida-certified general contractor, LEED AP, ASHE certified, and holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural design and master’s degree in building construction from the University of Florida.
