Employees received one raffle ticket per year of service, which resulted in an average of 10 tickets per person. The new Jeep was part of a series of prizes that were raffled off by the company in honor of its anniversary milestone, with winners being drawn at an outing event in New England. Griffin Electric held outings for its employees and their families in each of its regional locations, with one outing in the New England region and four outings in the Southeast regional locations in Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Prizes were drawn for the regional locations as well as company-wide, and in addition to the Jeep included travel packages, cash prizes, paid vacation time, and more. With many activities planned for all ages at each event, the outings were an opportunity to bring both field and office employees and their families together to celebrate and reward them for hard work.
Over the past 45 years, Griffin Electric has evolved from its modest beginnings into an electrical firm with thousands of projects across a range of markets. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Griffin Electric’s in-house Apprenticeship Training Program. The federally recognized, state approved, and fully accredited four-year program consists of classroom instruction and on-the-job learning for those in pursuit of their electrical and telecommunications licensure.
