Skanska’s new office layout emphasizes community and southern hospitality. The office includes an open workspace environment with many common areas for gathering, several large training rooms, idea rooms for collaboration, and privacy rooms for more focused work, calls, or video conferences. The meeting rooms and offices have glass walls to allow natural light into the center of the plan while creating an overall more transparent, collaborative environment. Other materials used in the construction included light oak wood floors, veneer brick on exterior walls, and black accents. The office’s interior design was created by PDR and the construction buildout was executed by Skanska.
“A lot of thought and consideration of the needs of our employees and clients went into the design process,” said Scott Cannon, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Skanska’s building operations in Georgia and South Carolina. “Skanska’s culture is built on open and accessible communication. Our new office offers a welcoming, productive, and modern space for our team and guests.”
Skanska employees in Atlanta now work in a building outfitted with amenities for clients and employees, located in the heart of the city with access to public transportation and highways. Skanska was in the midst of renovating the space when the pandemic hit and adjusted plans so the space conforms to the new office norms as defined by the response to COVID-19.
