The institute includes a newly planned eight-story building that will house 75 inpatient rooms and 10 operating rooms (ORs). An adjoining six-story medical office building will include two floors of ambulatory suites which will contain an added 12 ORs.

Brown, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Skanska USA’s building operations in Florida. “With this latest partnership, we will further enhance and grow the system’s state-of-the-art facilities to better serve patients in the Central Florida community.”
Designed by architecture firm EYP Architecture & Engineering, the medical pavilion and outpatient surgery center are set to be completed in late 2022 and the hospital has an anticipated completion by summer 2023. Upon its opening, the hospital is expected to add 500 jobs.
The total amount of the project is $187 million that will be awarded to Skanska for the construction of the institute. A portion of $63.33 million was booked in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Currently, Skanska is building several health care construction projects in Florida including the renovation and expansion of the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers and completing phase two of the Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health in South Florida.
