Lauzier will bring his transportation expertise to the committee, which promotes ACEC’s transportation legislative work. As the committee Chair, he will help shape ACEC’s positions on transportation issues at the Federal and state level.
In particular, the committee’s goals for the 2022-23 term include helping ensure the successful implementation of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and monitoring upcoming trends, including workforce challenges, 3D modeling, connected/automated vehicles, sustainability, and practical design standards.
“With the passage and implementation of IIJA, there are many challenges and opportunities for implementing new projects,” Lauzier said. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with ACEC leadership in D.C. and across the country to help shape the future of transportation infrastructure.”
Lauzier’s 40 years of experience in the transportation industry covers a variety of markets and services, ranging from highway planning and design to post design, and construction engineering and inspection services. He also has a background in traditional planning and design services as well as emerging technologies.

Lauzier has been involved in ACEC since 1992, where he started with the Florida chapter and went on to chair several committees and subcommittees during his tenure. He served as the Chair of the Florida chapter’s transportation committee in 2020 and currently still sits on the board of directors. From 2001-2003, he additionally served on the ACEC Georgia board of directors. In 2018, Lauzier was honored with the Ben Watts Partnership Award.
