“Mike is a phenomenal addition to our team in Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Michigan,” said Brian Rogers, Gilbane’s Midwest Division Controller. “His expertise in strategic operations oversight will guide our team through the continued growth we’ve seen in the region, and his strong leadership will drive improvements to our overall business processes.”
Before joining Gilbane, Dishaw served as President and Chief Executive Officer at S&B Construction, responsible for all U.S. construction operations in Texas, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. He transitioned from Chief Financial Officer to Chief Executive Officer in 2020, post-acquisition, to lead integration and drive the company’s transformation to support their strategy to execute large complex infrastructure projects. In addition, he led the successful commercial and financial close for the $1.2 billion P3 Fargo Diversion project and the $1.5 billion Pennsylvania Major Bridges project.
Dishaw began his career with Barton Malow, serving in several financial roles, including Chief Financial Officer. With over 38 years of experience in the construction industry, Dishaw has a track record of providing leadership and vision in challenging environments. He has extensive experience collaborating with all levels of operations to enhance strategies that increase bottom-line growth through process improvements and business analytics.
“I am thrilled to join Gilbane and excited for the opportunity to join the Midwest leadership team and its rapidly growing portfolio of projects,” Dishaw said. “I look forward to leveraging my past experience to help further develop our impressive group of business and financial leaders throughout the Midwest Division.”
