OTTOWA LAKE, MI — Buck & Knobby Equipment Company and its Outdoor Power Equipment division were hosts for the annual Customer Appreciation Day at the Ottawa Lake location in Michigan this spring. The event gave the employees of Buck & Knobby a chance to say thank you to their customers and to introduce them to the latest advancements in equipment, products and services that are offered.
With their heavy construction equipment on display outside and outdoor power equipment on display inside, attendees were given the opportunity to view the range of equipment that Buck & Knobby has to offer. Construction equipment brands such as Hyundai, Manitou, Mustang, Wacker Neuson and Yanmar; and outdoor power equipment lines such as Grasshopper, Scag Mowers and Bob-Cat Mowers, Honda Power Equipment, Boxer Compact Equipment and Stihl were all represented.
Buck & Knobby employees as well as equipment manufacturer representatives were on hand to answer questions and offer advice to contractors. Special Customer Appreciation Day pricing was available on featured equipment, as well as special financing. Door prizes were given away and lunch was served to attendees.
Founded in 1948 by Lloyd R. (Knobby) Nolfo and Melvin R. (Buck) Cole, Buck & Knobby Equipment Company, Inc. started as a small business on Alexis Road in Toledo, Ohio. Buck & Knobby later moved its operations to Ottawa Lake, Michigan, which includes multiple buildings with a display of new and used equipment over 100 acres. In 2016, Buck & Knobby Equipment returned to Ohio to open Buck & Knobby JCB in Holland, Ohio. This second location offers JCB wheel loaders, excavators, backhoe loaders, telescopic forklifts and skid steer and compact track loaders.
