SPLENDORA, TX — Splendora Independent School District (Splendora ISD) broke ground on the new Peach Creek Elementary School, scheduled to open in August 2025. The event was attended by school board members, administrators, local officials, and project partners.
The new 130,000-square-foot school will replace the aging Peach Creek Elementary, providing updated facilities for students in grades PreK-5. The school will accommodate up to 1,000 students with classrooms, administrative offices, specialized spaces, and recreational areas.
“This project is an important milestone for our district,” Superintendent Jeffrey Burke, Ed.D. said. “We’re proud to open a school that will serve families who’ve been part of Splendora for generations.”
The project is funded by the $201 million bond approved by voters in 2022. Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) is the program manager overseeing Peach Creek Elementary and Greenleaf Elementary projects, both built on new sites.
“We are looking forward to helping Splendora ISD realize the transformation of its facilities and ensure our projects are completed on time," said JP Grom, AIA, LEED AP, PMP, CCM, LAN Vice President and Business Group Director. "The new elementary schools will provide an improved learning experience for students in the Splendora community.”
