“We are grateful to provide infrastructure solutions to one of the state’s fastest-growing regions,” said Jose Carlos Esteban, CEO of Webber, a subsidiary of Ferrovial. “This project reinforces our leading position in the waterworks industry in Texas and continued commitment to support our communities.”
The project has an anticipated value of approximately $200 million. Once completed, the Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant will be able to treat up to six million gallons per day to accommodate Pflugerville’s growth and service needs.
The scope of work includes the construction of all the operations and maintenance buildings and the installation of equipment and technology for every stage of treatment. Construction is expected to start this summer and to be completed in 2026.
PLW Waterworks, a joint venture between Ferrovial subsidiaries Webber and Cadagua, specializes in water purification, treatment, reuse, and desalination systems using design-bid-build, as well as alternative delivery methods to help protect the environment and bring fresh water to millions of Americans every day.
