NEWARK, NJ — Gilbane Building welcomes Chris Birdyshaw as Business Development Professional in New Jersey. In this role, Birdyshaw will strengthen client and industry partnerships and expand Gilbane’s presence across key market sectors.
Birdyshaw brings more than 20 years of business development leadership experience in commercial construction and real estate. He has successfully built and maintained relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and industry partners across New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. His experience spans life sciences, health care, higher education, K-12, multifamily, industrial, and cultural/entertainment sectors.

Birdyshaw holds a Bachelor of Science in business management and organizational development from Mount Olive University. He is an active member of the United Way of New Jersey and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.

Gilbane has been building in New Jersey for more than four decades, delivering complex projects and fostering long-term client relationships across the state. The firm is currently serving as lead builder on the Lionsgate Newark film studio in partnership with Great Point Studios, NJPAC, and the Newark Housing Authority, and has completed work such as 50 Rector Park and the Prudential Center in Newark. In New Jersey, Gilbane works with clients in the life sciences, industrial, higher education, health care, and sports and entertainment markets.
