WASHINGTON, D.C. — Susana Andrade Erpestad, AIA, ACHA, NCARB, EDAC, LEED AP BD+C, has been named Director of Federal Programs for HDR's architecture practice. Erpestad will transition from her previous role of Health Principal within HDR’s Washington, D.C., practice to lead the firm’s global federal architecture market. She will assume responsibility for operating and growing the practice as well as for elevating and promoting HDR’s federal brand across all architectural market sectors.

A registered Architect with 20 years of experience, Erpestad has led projects in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Since first joining HDR in 2010, Erpestad has grown within the company, gaining experience leading teams, fostering client engagement, delivering complex projects, mentoring staff and increasing market share.

Erpestad said she takes great pride in the contributions she makes toward developing her team members and the design outcomes that this approach brings to her clients. She also enjoys rethinking the strategic aspect of problem-solving during all project phases.
