Jones, a 17-year industry veteran, most recently served as Office Leader for HNTB’s Gulf Coast office, achieving significant year-over-year growth. Jones joined HNTB in 2007 and held numerous management, sales, and strategic planning positions. Before HNTB he worked for another engineering firm.
Jones played a role in raising awareness and funding for education programs through industry organizations such as the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. Jones is a founding board member of the Louisiana Coalition to Fix Our Roads, a nonprofit, statewide organization that advocated for increased revenue to fund infrastructure improvements, and he has served on several transition teams for the mayors of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the governor of Louisiana.
He chairs the legislative committee for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana, and he has previously served on the board of commissioners for the Capital Area Transit System. Jones received a political communications degree from Louisiana State University.
