Pregel brings to Stantec more than 36 years of military and private sector experience leading engineering organizations and managing complex design/construction programs. He has led or managed planning, design, construction, and environmental programs and projects all over the world. After retiring from the Navy, Pregel worked with small businesses to develop worldwide capabilities in design, construction, energy, and real estate development, and worked on programs in Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific, and the U.S.

Pregel earned a Master of Engineering degree in construction management from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts degree in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He has completed the Executive Training Program at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. Pregel received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
