FARMINGTON, MI — The Associated General Contractors of Michigan’s Construction Leadership Council hosted its 16th annual event in support of Sweet Dreamzzz, a nonprofit organization committed to improving children’s health, wellbeing and academic performance by providing sleep education and bedtime essentials to economically disadvantaged students and their families. Just over $11,000 was raised to support the mission of Sweet Dreamzzz at this year’s event hosted at John Cowley & Sons Irish Pub.

“The AGC of Michigan is proud to continue its support of Sweet Dreamzzz and its mission to make children healthier by providing sleep education,” said Damian Hill, President of AGC of Michigan. “Our members are dedicated to improving the lives of their communities, especially when it comes to setting children up for success.”

Sweet Dreamzzz’ sleep programs are taught to preschool through 5th grade children in an interactive way with hands-on games, songs and activities by trained sleep educators. Each child receives a Sweet Dreamzzz sleep kit containing a blanket or sleeping bag, nightshirt, toothbrush and toothpaste, a reading book and other bedtime items.
