SOUTHFIELD, MI — Barton Malow names Nicole Sakhleh as its Vice President of Legal. In this role, Sakhleh will provide legal leadership and support to the construction enterprise, ensuring high standards of legal and ethical conduct are met across the organization.
Sakhleh will also develop and execute the legal strategy and operations that support entity business plans. This includes reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and other legal instruments; advising operating groups on terms and conditions; and managing claims (litigation, mediation, arbitration, and informal claims), including the selection, management, and performance of outside counsel.
With a track record spanning nearly two decades, Sakhleh brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Barton Malow in construction law, commercial and industrial real estate, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution. Her experience has led her to tenure at companies like General Motors, Rivian, and most recently, Redwood Materials. She began her career as an Associate Attorney at Potestivo & Associates and at Wood, Kull, Herschfus, Obee & Kull, where she worked on cases pertaining to real estate transactions and litigation.
Sakhleh works out of Barton Malow’s Southfield, Michigan, headquarters and reports to Chief Legal Officer Brandon Booth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in pre-law studies, general business, Spanish, political science, and economics from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University.
