Named for lead donors Pier C. and Renee A. Borra, the Borra Learning Center is part of a $9.9-million campus enhancement project known as the Building Tomorrow Together campaign. The project was funded by a capital outlay from the State of Michigan and investments from North Central’s donor-partners.
Complementing the building renovation and addition, Building Tomorrow Together also advances North Central’s initiatives in several key areas, including:
- Establishing a “First Stop” near the college’s busiest classrooms to provide centralized access to support services, including advising and counseling
- Increasing STEM education and entrepreneurship across the curriculum
- Expanding access to scholarship opportunities and student success supports
Neumann/Smith Architecture provided design and architectural services for the project, and Clark Construction Company oversaw the building’s construction.
