Plans for the building include multiple dock and grade level doors, Early Suppression Fast Response ceiling-mounted sprinklers that eliminate the need for in-rack sprinkler systems, and new energy efficiencies including high energy efficient motion-activated lighting.

Officials from Gaines Township, Kent County Commission, neighboring businesses, and future potential tenants joined the construction team for the groundbreaking event.
“Watching this community grow with projects like this is encouraging," said Emily Brieve, Kent County Commissioner, District 10, representing Gaines Township. "The potential for this spot is enormous, with proximity to the highway and the ability to connect quickly to infrastructure, this will be a thriving hub of commercial progress."

The facility is a design-build project with Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Wolverine Building Group serving as the architect and general contractor.
