Since the inception of SPG in 2016, Vande Boom has grown the SPG team from one to a team of 50-plus diverse and multidisciplinary professionals across the Midwest. The team has worked for 35 clients, 20 of which have ongoing continuous work. Vande Boom has also been instrumental in leading Gilbane’s internal SPG group and establishing Gilbane’s brand as a multi-site program builder nationwide. Gilbane’s SPG national client accounts have reached over 30 states with many roll-out, multi-site programs taking place simultaneously.
“Since joining Gilbane eight years ago, Joel has created and nurtured the SPG portfolio into a significant component of our overall business in the Midwest,” said Brett Meyer, Senior Vice President at Gilbane Building Company. “I am so proud of Joel’s accomplishments and leadership, and I congratulate him on a well-deserved promotion.”
“I’m very grateful to continue problem-solving for our current and new clients and develop our SPG team,” Vande Boom said. “With real estate portfolios changing and challenges with space utilization, this work provides a great alignment for our team to showcase their talents. I’m excited about the future of SPG in the Midwest and across the country, and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to lead this group of incredible Gilbane team members.”
