AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approves the following financial assistance totaling over $1.18 billion for water and wastewater projects:
- $75 million to the Alliance Regional Water Authority (Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Comal, and Bexar counties) for a water supply project
- $35 million to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (Hays, Guadalupe, Comal, and Caldwell counties) for a water supply project
- $370.77 million to the North Texas Municipal Water District (Collin, Dallas, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Rains, and Rockwall counties) for a water supply project
- $248.8 million to the Riverbend Water Resources District (Red River County) for a water supply project
- $55 million to the Tarrant Regional Water District (Tarrant County) for a water supply project
- $274 million to the City of Georgetown (Williamson County) for a water supply project
- $32 million to the San Patricio Municipal Water District (San Patricio County) for water system improvements
- $5.07 million to the City of Beaumont (Jefferson County) for lead service line inventory
- $30 million to Comal County for a water quality protection project
- $51.49 million to the City of Dripping Springs (Hays County) for wastewater system improvements
- $4.42 million to the City of Richland Springs (San Saba County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
