EL PASO, TX — HNTB’s Kelvin Kroeker, PE, El Paso Practice Leader and Vice President, has been honored as the Texas Society of Professional Engineers’ (TSPE) 2025 El Paso Engineer of the Year. This award recognizes TSPE members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to public welfare while advancing the engineering profession through impactful and sustained contributions.
With three decades of experience in civil engineering, Kroeker has been a driving force behind projects that improve mobility across Texas, including interstate expansions, major highways, bridges, and transit systems. His work has been recognized with accolades from Texas Public Works Association, the American Council of Engineering Companies, and others.
“Kelvin’s leadership, service, and dedication to the El Paso community have been instrumental in advancing impactful transportation solutions across the region,” said Summer Lawton, HNTB’s South Central Texas Office Leader and Senior Vice President. “This recognition is a testament to his far-reaching impact on both the industry and the communities we serve.”
Kroeker serves as an Executive Board Member of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and as the Deputy Chair of the El Paso Independent School District’s Citizens Bond Advisory Committee. Additionally, he has spearheaded efforts to establish endowments supporting engineering scholarships.
TSPE presented Kroeker with the 2025 El Paso Engineer of the Year Award at the El Paso Chapter Engineers Week Banquet.
