CEDAR PARK, TX — American Constructors received two awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Central Texas Chapter at the annual Excellence in Construction Awards Ceremony. The company received an Eagle award for its work on Dripping Springs ISD’s Wildwood Springs Elementary and the Merit award for Temple ISD’s High School Athletic Performance Complex.
ABC’s awards program spotlights quality construction projects and celebrates contractors who are committed to maintaining the highest safety and performance standards throughout Central Texas.
“We are grateful to receive this recognition from ABC as a testament to the hard work of our team and the valued collaboration between our clients and design groups,” American Constructors Chief Executive Officer Marty Burger said. “Our dedication to excellence, safety, and collaboration is what drives us every day, and we take pride in delivering high-quality end results for every project.”
Dripping Springs ISD’s Wildwood Springs Elementary School, completed in July 2025, is a 117,835-square-foot campus designed to alleviate crowding for the district and serve up to 850 students. Throughout the construction process, the team faced challenges related to steep terrain and tricky underground utility coordination. Thanks to early planning, the project team found creative grading and utility solutions to open the school on time and on budget for students and teachers to enjoy.
The Temple ISD Athletic Performance Complex is a two-story sports facility that was completed in March 2025. The 40,350-square-foot complex supports a variety of Temple High School’s sports programs featuring modern locker rooms, a weight training area, classrooms, coaches’ offices, and spaces for sports recovery. Despite working around a tight operating environment and surprise utility complications, American Constructors delivered the project in 18 months, with students moving in by March 2025.
