Kerr has built a reputation locally in Charlotte, having previously partnered with The Lunch Project, which powers community-run school lunch programs in Tanzania. Kerr also previously sat on the Board of Directors for Charlotte Family Housing, which empowers working families experiencing homelessness to achieve lifelong self-sufficiency through shelter, housing, supportive services, and advocacy.
