One of Young's first challenging projects was designing a greenfield water treatment plant for a community that had never treated their own water before. That plant is now functional and producing high-quality water. On the wastewater side, Young has helped design, construct, and optimize an advanced biological nutrient removal fermenter, which uses technology to reduce and eliminate plant costs while meeting aggressive permit limits.
