ROCKVILLE, MD —
DAVIS Construction, a general contractor in the Mid-Atlantic region, announces that
Dominic Argentieri has been named President and
Benjamin Cohen,
Ronald Juban,
Michael Pittsman, and
Meghan Ulrich have joined the firm’s leadership team as Principals, a transition effective January 1, 2023. In addition to these appointments,
Bill Moyer, announces his retirement as Principal, but will remain engaged in the organization through his role as an Advisor.
Argentieri, Cohen, Juban, Pittsman, and Ulrich will be added to the existing Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) that includes Jim Davis (CEO), Dennis Cotter (Founding Partner), and Peggy Jones (Principal).
Additionally, Michelle Christen, EVP-Finance, Constantine Athanas, EVP-General Counsel, and Chris Scanlon, Chief Innovation Officer, will partner with the CLT to round out the strategic planning committee, an executive body designed to establish priorities and set goals. DAVIS leadership agrees that this is a critical move for diversity and inclusion as well as elevating the firm’s growing senior team and creating more depth of leadership for the growing organization.
With offices in Rockville, Maryland, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, DAVIS is one of the largest general contractors in the Eastern United States, building projects across a wide span of market sectors ranging from commercial office buildings and interiors to life sciences and multi-family.
“One key priority for DAVIS is to continue to embrace and value diversity as a strength," Argentieri said. "With our growing leadership team, we are more committed than ever to intentionally building a workplace where our employees and partners are provided the necessary support to be successful. We know our clients will benefit from this inclusive philosophy, and this will make our organization strong for the long-term.”
“We look forward to continuing to invest in our talented team and to drive success through empowering our people," Pittsman said. "I am especially grateful for Bill Moyer’s leadership, as he has had tremendous passion in mentoring all of us to take on this new chapter in DAVIS’ growth.”
New Corporate Leadership Team Members
The following leaders have been announced as part of the expanded DAVIS executive team:
Dominic Argentieri, President
Argentieri works in conjunction with DAVIS teams and external business partners to align the company's efforts with specific needs of projects — all the while balancing the broader objectives of DAVIS. Viewing every element of a project holistically, he proactively identifies and helps solve project and business challenges.
Benjamin Cohen, Principal
Cohen has leadership skills and a honed expertise in sustainable construction. He is actively engaged in the early planning stages, flushing out project risks in the preconstruction phase thus enabling his team to quickly and efficiently solve problems. Cohen has a hands-on approach in corporate strategy, cross-sector marketing, and business development.
Ronald Juban Jr., Principal
Juban is actively engaged early in negotiations and project planning — all the way through closeout. His portfolio is full of complex and highly technical projects, from mixed-use to high-rise, secure buildings to corporate headquarters. Juban brings knowledge of local codes and regulations for all building types.
Michael Pittsman, Principal
Pittsman began his career over 30 years ago. His success for executing projects coupled with his ability to build long-lasting relationships has helped propel DAVIS’ growth over his 25-plus years at DAVIS. Pittsman's growth in the industry corresponds with DAVIS’ growth in building and renovating office buildings, educational facilities, landmarks, and multi-family residential.
Meghan Ulrich, Principal
Ulrich has over two decades of construction experience and a track record of planning and executing complex projects. She provides expertise and direction to DAVIS' operations teams, and confers with them at all stages of development to enhance processes. Ulrich works with team members to find efficiencies and improve business practices.
