TxDOT Adds Aponte as New Brazoria Area Engineer
Aponte began her career with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) at the Houston District Laboratory where she worked for over four years and became a licensed Professional Engineer in 2009. In 2010, Aponte transferred to the Southeast Harris Area Office providing support on construction and maintenance activities. Since 2013, Aponte has served as the Southeast Harris Assistant Area Engineer overseeing major projects to include the I-45 Gulf Freeway, SH 146, I-610, and I-10, among others, and assisting the Southeast Harris and the Houston Metro Maintenance Offices.
Aponte graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez earning a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in 2004. Before becoming a member of TxDOT in 2006, Aponte graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, this time earning a Master of Engineering degree in civil engineering/geotechnical engineering.
