Wayne Crew, General Secretary of the Academy, said, “Our 2021 class is diverse, experienced, and dedicated. Bob Lanham is a most deserving new member. His leadership and influence stretch across project, executive, and organizational lines.”
Lanham joined Williams Brothers in 1985 as a Project Engineer, with a career path that progressed into the executive branch, becoming President in 2013. He has been involved in over 250 projects, including involvement in every aspect of project delivery. He is currently the President of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). He served 10 years on the AGC Board of Directors. His service as AGC President began in March 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AGC leadership requested he serve an additional year, which he accepted.
Lanham earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with honors, from Texas A&M University. After graduation from A&M, he was a Combat Engineer and Paratrooper, achieving the rank of Captain, in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
