The RSRP is a citywide program that aims to extend the life and structural integrity of existing street pavement through rehabilitation or reconstruction. These street improvements may include sidewalk repairs, ADA ramps, striping, and pavement markings.
FY2021 RSRP totaled $30 million and repaired 55 residential streets. The FY2022 RSRP is $19.8 million and will complete the reconstruction or rehabilitation of approximately 43 streets.
The city has $122,300,760 in the Fiscal Year 2022 budget to fund programs to repair or reconstruct the city’s roadways. This proposed project will place into production 100 percent of the funding that was earmarked for the Residential Street Repair Program.
Contracts totaling another $11 million for the FY2022 Street Preventive Maintenance Program (SPMP) were considered by the City Council in January. The SPMP also addressed 23 streets in FY2022 with city forces as well.
