Pfluger Architects measured exponential growth in a post-COVID environment, spurring personnel hires and promotions across all sectors and markets, including South Texas. Rivera — with nearly 30 years of experience largely in the Corpus Christi area — will lead the firm’s growing project portfolio and team.
"Connie is a natural fit for our team, and we’re so pleased she’s joined our Corpus Christi office as Co-Managing Principal," said Terry Hoyle, Pfluger’s CEO. "Her expertise and reputation will contribute to Pfluger’s continued South Texas success. We look forward to the innovative solutions and processes she will bring to our clients and the community."
A graduate of Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Rivera earned her Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin before returning to her hometown and leading building projects. A graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi and former Coordinating Architect for Del Mar College, she led projects across the Coastal Bend including Del Mar’s Heldenfels Admin Building, Gregory-Portland ISD Athletic Complex Master Plan, and Woodsboro ISD New Band Hall.
“Joining Pfluger is an opportunity to be part of a significant, impactful, and transformative initiative,” Rivera said. “Drawing from my experience in different offices and firms, I’m eager to support an office culture that not only promotes development and growth but also actively engages with the community.”
