In this role, Mellor will manage and ensure the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, overseeing contracting, project controls and quality, and risk and change management. Notably, he will ensure delivery of the recently announced first phase for Terminal F at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, which includes the addition of 15 aircraft gates and associated DFW Skylink station. He also will serve as a primary client liaison and be responsible for building and maintaining key client relationships. Mellor will work closely with clients to identify project needs and evaluate strategies to ensure project goals are met.
Prior to HNTB, Mellor most recently served as the Design Manager for Newark Liberty International Airport’s 2.7-million-square-foot, six-level rental car facility. Other notable projects on which Mellor has held leadership positions include Hamad International Airport’s $3 billion, eight-gate North Node terminal expansion and $1 billion airline lounges and activity nodes and Port Columbus International Airport’s Capital Improvement Program.
He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and is an NCARB-certified architect, licensed in Pennsylvania, as well as a certified Design-Build Institute of America Associate.
