Dallas North Tollway Fourth Lane Project in Frisco Now Underway
The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) will begin adding a fourth lane in each direction of the DNT between the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) and US 380 in Frisco. The project will also include ramp and intersection improvements.
“These DNT improvements show NTTA’s commitment to meeting the mobility demands of a rapidly-expanding North Texas,” said NTTA Assistant Executive Director of Infrastructure Elizabeth Mow.
Speed limits between El Dorado Parkway and PGA Parkway will be reduced from 70 to 60 mph during construction. Drivers are asked to stay alert to changing conditions, reduced speed limits, and to watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone during construction on the DNT in Frisco.
Construction is anticipated to be completed in late 2025, weather permitting.
The DNT Fourth Lane Project is NTTA’s latest expansion project. Recently, a fourth lane in both directions was added to the SRT. Also, additional lanes of the President George Bush Turnpike between State Highway 78 in Garland and Interstate 20 in Grand Prairie have been completed and are now open to traffic.
