AUSTIN, TX — Eric Ploch, PE, STV Vice President, Principal, Senior Project Manager in Austin, Texas, has been elected Treasurer and Board Member of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) Austin Chapter. This organization is dedicated to assisting members in professional development by providing training opportunities that strengthen the position of minority business owners in the transportation industry.
“The future of this city is being built upon an inclusive workforce, and we need to bring all stakeholders to the table,” Ploch said. “I hope my role can help facilitate networking, scholarship opportunities, and continued growth for minority-owned transportation professionals.”
Ploch first became involved in the COMTO Austin Chapter in January 2020 when the chapter was in need of revitalization and growth. In his new role, he is responsible for managing the organization’s financial resources that support the execution of its mission, as well as ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, providing accurate financial reporting, and working with the other board members to guide the direction of the chapter. In addition to these responsibilities, Ploch also serves as the Chair of the Sponsorship Committee and is actively involved in the Events and Scholarship Fundraising committees.
