HOUSTON, TX — Hunter announces Jose Barragan as the international blast-resistant building firm’s new Vice President of Special Projects. In his role, Barragan will provide support and conduct long-range planning for the organization’s estimating and design efforts, implementing solutions and procedures for various divisions within Hunter.
Barragan brings more than 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry to his role, with his last 16 years spent at Hunter. He began his time with the company as an Engineering Designer and Project Manager, playing a critical role in developing Hunter’s design and estimating processes. After being promoted to Director of Design and Estimating, he successfully managed teams, improving throughput and accuracy across both departments.
“I’ve been deeply involved with the operational side of our company for a while now, but this new role gives me the opportunity to take that work to the next level,” he said. “I’m ready to help move Hunter ahead.”
Company Chief Operating Officer Michael Draper commended Barragan for his new undertaking with the firm.
“Jose has been with us since 2006, and he has always proven himself to be a loyal company advocate,” Draper said. “With his leadership, I know good things are in the future for both Hunter and the clients we serve.”
