Carter Named Chief Operating Officer for Ensight Haynes Whaley
Carter worked closely with the firm in his previous role at IMEG Corp., which recently acquired the structural engineering division of international firm Cardno. Carter started with this group a decade ago, when he joined Haynes Whaley Associates in the Austin, Texas, office. Ensight Haynes Whaley has thus partnered and collaborated with the firms on many projects over the past 13 years.
In his new role, Carter will focus on growing Ensight Haynes Whaley, leveraging an expanding roster of minority and small business certifications, and assisting clients from the project planning phase through construction completion.
“I’ve worked with David since he joined Haynes Whaley Associate," said Ensight Haynes Whaley CEO Mark Lilie. "He has strong relationships with owners, developers, and architects and stays on top of planned construction across the state. He helps put all the pieces together to get projects off to a strong start and stays involved to ensure successful completion.”
During his career, Carter has secured an array of project opportunities that resulted in work for The Texas Facilities Commision, Texas A&M University System, The University of Texas System, Texas State University System, Texas Tech University System, Stephen F. Austin University, and other public entities and private sector clients. With Carter’s involvement, Ensight Haynes Whaley and IMEG will continue pursuing and collaborating on public sector projects.
“David has contributed immensely to our success in Houston and even more so in Austin, going all the way back to the Haynes Whaley Associates days," said IMEG Principal and Houston Office Leader Wally Ford. "We wish David the best and know his focused attention on growth will continue to contribute to our mutual success in the competitive Texas market.”
