AUSTIN, TX — The diagnostics group at Walter P Moore continues to grow throughout the Lone Star State with the addition of Michael Brown, Ph.D., PE and Matt Heringer, PE heading up diagnostics in the Austin office.
Brown joins the company as a Senior Associate and Project Manager. A Fort Worth native and University of Texas alumnus, he specializes in the evaluation and repair of reinforced and prestressed concrete buildings and has experience in nondestructive testing. Throughout his career, Brown has investigated numerous structures and developed an expertise in litigation support services. Brown said he joined Walter P Moore for its expertise in tackling large design challenges. His goal is to translate theoretical engineering concepts into practical solutions.
Heringer is a Principal in Austin. He transferred from Walter P Moore’s Houston office to lead the firm’s diagnostics efforts in a new market. He focuses on solving issues with existing structures and assists in the assessment and testing of concrete and steel structures. In 2015, Heringer and his team received an award for their efforts in rehabilitating Lexington, Kentucky’s Helix-on-Main parking garage, which Heringer cites as his proudest professional accomplishment. Additionally, Heringer provides construction administration for repair and restoration projects including tunnels, parking structures, buildings and bridges.
