KDC Partners with JBP Properties to Develop 16-Acre Parkside III in Legacy Business Park
Located in Legacy Business Park on Legacy Drive east of the Dallas North Tollway at the corner of Windcrest Drive, the 16-acre development site provides a range of options starting at 200,000 to 500,000 square feet of office space. The site is ideally located for various uses, including medical office, particularly with proximity to several top medical tenants and uses, including Plano’s Children’s Medical Center.
“KDC has developed over 7.8 million square feet of corporate development in Legacy Business Park, and these 16 acres are perfectly suited for the next major commitment from a corporation looking for an opportunity for a new build-to-suit corporate home,” said Peter Yates, Vice President of Development for KDC. “Parkside III offers a world-class setting and the opportunity to design an office environment of the future with social distancing in mind.”
Parkside III is centrally located with access to major thoroughfares, including the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road, as well as an array of area amenities. The business park is near Legacy Town Center and Legacy West, offering retail and dining with a range of food service options. The park delivers over 1,000 hotel rooms along with multiple apartments, townhomes, and proximity to single-family residential options.
“We are pleased to partner with KDC in pursuit of build-to-suit projects on this final phase and site of our Parkside Projects,” said Robert Browning, Representative for JBP Properties. JBP is a long-term landlord/property owner with investments in Legacy for over 20 years.
KDC is marketing Parkside III with Bob Myers of Myers Commercial. In its 37 years of business, Myers Commercial has been involved with 5.5 million square feet of commercial projects, with the most recent notable transaction being the 120,000-square-foot Hilltop Plaza in Dallas’ University Park, across from SMU.
KDC developed the corporate headquarters for FedEx Office and Toyota North America as well as regional campuses for Liberty Mutual and JPMorgan Chase, which are all located at Legacy West. Additionally, KDC is currently developing Santa Fe Yards as part of Denver’s Broadway Station development, as well as other mixed-use developments, including Aureum in Nashville and Hub RTP in North Carolina.
