These completed projects are the result of school districts fulfilling the promises made to their communities through passed bonds. Using VLK’s client-focused design process, each district has returned to its community facilities specifically designed to meet the district’s individual needs.
“The anticipation of a new school year is always an exciting time, and we look forward to it with the same passion as our clients,” said VLK Managing Partner, Todd Lien. “Whether this is a renovation of an older campus or a brand-new school to address the tremendous growth that our clients are experiencing, we work with them to provide innovative, imaginative, and cost-effective solutions for their communities. Seeing these projects come to life on the first day of school is a highlight for us.”
Working across 20-plus districts serving more than half a million students, VLK has helped each community to deliver the promise of an approved bond.
Royse City ISD has replaced Cherry Elementary School with a brand-new campus described as “beautiful and intelligent” by Superintendent Kevin Worthy. "The team at VLK took the vision of our community and created an absolutely beautiful and intelligent learning environment for the students at Ruth Cherry Elementary,” he said. “From added safety features in classrooms, to breakout learning spaces and creative aesthetics, I am so proud of the final product. Most importantly, I know that our amazing educators will use the space to build meaningful relationships with students and families for years to come."
Brazosport ISD Superintendent Danny Massey shared his thoughts about the new Brazoswood High School on Facebook: “We are so excited to open a new Brazoswood High School, continuing great traditions and providing outstanding experiences for students.”
