DALLAS, TX — Dallas-Based MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) welcomes Chief Estimator Rock Hoy to oversee preconstruction budgeting, lump sum bidding, and CM at Risk estimating procedures for MYCON’s Dallas office.

“We are excited to announce this new member of our growing estimating team,” said Lou Arrieta, Vice President of Estimating for MYCON. “Rock’s vast knowledge and experience in the commercial construction industry makes him a valuable asset to MYCON.”

Hoy received his Bachelor of Science in building construction from Texas A&M University. With over 41 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, he has developed and directed over $1 billion in contracts and over 100 construction projects across the United States. Project markets he has served include warehouse, manufacturing, retail, office, institutional, education, hospitality, medical, assisted living, mid-rise, and high-rise multifamily.

Hoy will work closely with MYCON project teams, clients, subcontractors, and material vendors to stay current on costs from project inception to completion. He will prepare quantity takeoffs on projects; prepare conceptual and price estimates; obtain bids from subcontractors and material vendors; put jobs together; and assist in preparing subcontracts, purchase orders, project budgets, and schedules.
