AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approves financial assistance totaling over $139.6 million for water and wastewater projects.
- $3.3 million to the South Plains Water Supply Corporation (Lubbock County) for water system improvements
- $9.27 million to the City of Alamo (Hidalgo County) for water system improvements
- $15 million to the City of Roma (Starr County) for water system improvements
- $59 million to the City of Austin (Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties) for wastewater system improvements
- $14.44 million to the City of Bonham (Fannin County) for water system improvements
- $9.95 million to the City of Cotulla (Starr County) for wastewater system improvements
- $3 million to the New Horizons Ranch and Center Inc. (Mills County) for water system improvements
- $16.1 million to the City of Pearsall (Frio County) for wastewater system improvements
- $9.53 million to the City of San Benito (Cameron County) for water system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
